Tencent’s Arena of Valor (AOV) is a classic example of a 5v5 action MOBA. Just recently, it was selected as one of eight eSports titles to be featured as medal events at the 2019 Asian Games. At the press conference, Tencent said that they would develop a whole new version of the game for the upcoming Asian Games.

The modified form of AOV used at the Asian Games features less emphasis on advertising, socializing, and non-combative methods. Instead, the future patch will put extra emphasis on the game’s core competitive elements. Furthermore, AOV provides variants for use in various regions. ‘Honor of Kings’ is the game’s name in China, for instance.
There are some differences between the two games, most notably with the protagonists, if you compare them. The upcoming edition for the Asian Games, however, will combine the two, making it simpler for players to learn about the heroes from any version.

In addition, the designers created in-depth aid for a wide range of domains, including training management, anti-doping, game design, event administration, and athlete selection. Data privacy concerns led to the shutdown of Arena of Valor in India in September 2020. The availability of the updated version in that region is, therefore, uncertain.

Hangzhou, China, will host the 2022 Asian Games. The celebration will go off on September 10 and run until September 25. It’s a multi-sport continental competition that happens every four years. Typically, the event attracts gamers from all throughout Asia.

Like AOV, PUBG Mobile will have an Asian Games-themed variant. E-sports competitions will return to the Asian Games in 2022. The pilot was conducted in 2018 and serves as a showcase example. However, esports will reach new heights at the 2018 Asian Games.
