Uploading and Downloading Trees From Ancestry GEDCOM is a universally-accepted file format for family tree files. What family trees are available for download? You can download any trees that you own. This includes trees you created on Ancestry or uploaded to your account.
DNA Data can be downloaded in a .txt (text file) format. DNA Data from other websites cannot be uploaded to Ancestry®. From your DNA Settings, select the test you’d like to download. Scroll down to the Download or Delete section and select Download DNA data.
