  • Move to the C: drive from This PC.

  • Access this folder and look for the QBooks and related Third-party folders.

  • Copy these QBooks and Third-party folders and paste them on your Desktop. Here’s how you can do it: 

  • Take a QuickBooks installation CD and insert it into the drive. If the InstallShield wizard opens up, close it and move further. 

  • Right-click on the Installer and click on Explore. 

  • Press the Shift key and hold it; select those QBooks and Third-party folders. Now right-click on these folders and select Copy. 

  • Close the open windows and move to the home screen of your Desktop.

  • Locate the arrow anywhere on the screen, right-click, and select Paste. 

  • Now open the QBooks folder that we just copied on the Desktop. 

  • Look for the framework.xml file in the folder and right-click on it. From further options, select Edit. 

  • Now, you will be prompted to the Notepad with this file. 

  • Find the MinRequirements and edit it as;

<Memory>1000MB</Memory>

  • Edit the memory, 1000MB to 0 MB. 

  • Go to the File menu on the same screen and select Save. 

  • Now, all changes you have made will be saved. 

  • Move back to the main installation folder and use Setup.exe. 


Way 2: If You are Using a Third-party Downloaded Installer 

  • Launch your computer. 

  • Press and hold the Windows icon + R to open the Run window. 

  • In the search field, type %temp% and hit Enter. 

  • Locate the QB folder, which will be named the QB version you are using created by setup. Now, create a copy of this folder on your Desktop. 

  • Open the QuickBooks folder and click on QBooks to open it.

  • Look for the Framework.xml file and right-click on it. Select Edit; it will open the file in the computer’s Notepad.  

  • Locate to the MinRequirements option, which will look as:

  • Change the memory limit from 1000 MB to 0 MB. 

  • Go to the File menu and select Save to save these changes. 

  • At the end, return to the main installer folder, which is in C: drive, and run Setup.exe.
